Still Learning!
I learned something new today. Yes, me! That feeling is pretty amazing, isn't it? When you learn something you didn't know before and you have that "aha!" moment.
The thing is, learning is one of the few things I get really excited and passionate about. It's why I love to read, why I love watching YouTube tutorials and why I love to travel. Unfortunately, it's also the reason I get bored with jobs. Once I've learned how to do a job, I'm done. I'm finished learning.
But I still have bills!
...sigh...which is why I have to find new ways to challenge myself in whatever work I'm doing. And I can do that, too, it's just not nearly as much fun as learning something brand new.
But today--I LEARNED SOMETHING BRAND NEW!!!! Well, new to me, anyway. And I know you're going to think it's silly, because some of you already know how to code. But I don't. And I've avoided learning any code every since I failed that Java Programming class in college. (to sum up: I worked SO hard that semester, but I could never get it 100% right--you know: every line of code is right except that one symbol that is wrong/missing-gah! so frustrating!) And I always got good grades--I even made an "A" in Statistics, so it's not that I'm stupid or dense; I just couldn't get the hang of coding.
But I learned how to begin coding from a YouTube tutorial, and the teacher made it so simple that even I could follow along.
And did I mention how excited I get by learning something new? I do, I really do!
